The story of this building
In 1722 Johannes Hörler became the owner of the small house. In May 1800 the house was sold to Johann Josef Koller-Hersche for 800 guilders. Around 1847-1848 the property underwent significant structural changes after a flood. Historical records indicate that the tavern “Bärli” opened around 1855. After numerous changes of ownership, the property passed to councilor Andreas Nisple in March 1898. In 1901, Wwe. Magdalena Nisple purchased the “Bärli” and handed it over to her son Emil Nisple-Fuchs in 1924 for CHF 22,000. Since 1981 the house has been owned by Franz Emil Nisple-Fuchs's eldest heirs. On December 30, 2012, the cozy restaurant, known for its fish specialties, will be closed forever.
