The story of this building
The hotel and the restaurant are then called “Krone”. The traditional hotel-restaurant was formerly owned by the unfortunate chief magistrate Anton Josef Sutter. Around 1847, a cloth shop was also operated in the “Krone” house. In 1877, the Johann Anton Fuchs family purchased the building and the hotel was rebuilt, and again in 1899. In 1894, a butcher's shop was set up in the part of the building where the cloth shop used to be. In 1923-1924 the house was completely rebuilt again and the hall was moved up to the 3rd floor. In 2007 the hotel and business operations were discontinued under Prisca and Martin Lang-Inauen.
The “Gass 17” restaurant and a bakery shop have been located on the ground floor of today’s new building since 2012.
