The story of this building
After the village fire, the house was rebuilt and was called the “Ochsen” tavern until around 1800.
Afterwards it is called “Black Ochsen” or “Schwarzes Öchsli”. Johann Josef Huber sold the property to his son Josef Anton in 1815. In 1825 Josef Anton Steuble bought the ox at auction. He wants to build a cone hut, which the Adler innkeeper protests against. From 1855 onwards, a hostel was also run in the “Schwarzer Ochsen”; It was therefore probably an tavern. Around 1893 the business went to the “Ochsen” and a ferg farm was operated there on a lease basis. Karl Seebacher purchased the property in 1935 and his son Rudolf Seebacher-Zöhrer took it over in 1981. The current building dates from the 1930s and belongs to <Sport Baumann AG>.
